Mainstream EtCO2 Module — Product Description
The Mainstream EtCO2 Module is a non-dispersive infrared analyzer. In the module, infrared light is generated and beamed through the sample cell to a detector. CO2 from the patient absorbs some of this energy, allowing the module to determine CO2 concentration by measuring light absorption. It features a reference channel for calibration, ensuring accurate measurements.
EtCO2 values are displayed in mmHg, %, or kPa. The system may also display a CO2 waveform (capnograph), a valuable clinical tool for assessing airway integrity and verifying endotracheal tube (ETT) placement. Respiration rate is calculated by measuring the interval between breaths.
Key Benefits:
- Portable and Modular design: Compact, lightweight, and easy to use with clear labeling.
- Continuous monitoring: Measures EtCO2, InsCO2, and Airway Respiration Rate (AwRR).
- Optional measurement units: Supports mmHg, %, and kPa.
- High spec measurement range: 0–150 mmHg with multiple accuracy levels.
